Monica is an educator, painter and award winning children’s book author & illustrator, with over 15 years experience teaching students of all ages.

Monica’s love for art began at a young age, drawing anytime she could. She took her love for art with her through high school and college eventually earning a BFA in Education and Art, then continuing to earn her MFA with a focus on Painting.

During her 15 years as an educator Monica taught in a public and private schools in Pennsylvania, NYC, New Jersey, San Diego and Atlanta, with children from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities.

She saw first hand how art was a powerful tool for emotional regulation and behavioral awareness. When students created art consistently she saw leaps in their emotional growth, social development, and creative problem-solving skills.

She believes that being creative at every age is the key to fostering an ever-evolving growth mindset. Art creates students who are willing to try, fail, and try again.

Monica’s teaching approach is known for its relaxed but engaging instruction that caters to all skill levels and abilities, ensuring every student feels encouraged and motivated.
