Monica is an educator, award winning children’s book author & illustrator, painter, and fine artist with over 15 years experience teaching students of all ages.

Monica’s love for art began at a young age, drawing anytime she could. She took her love for art with her through high school and college eventually earning a BFA in Education and Art, then continuing to earn her MFA with a focus on Painting.

Whether teaching college students how to draw and paint or working with teens and young learners as an atelierista with students with special needs on emotional regulation and behavioral awareness she saw first hand how art was powerful tool for emotional growth, social development, and creative problem-solving skills.

She believes that being creative at every age is the key to a joyful life.

Monica’s teaching approach is known for its relaxed but engaging instruction that caters to all skill levels and abilities, ensuring every student feels encouraged and motivated.
